STUDIO ONE: Policies & Code of Conduct
By registering for classes at STUDIO ONE, you agree to respect the following policies and procedures. These are in place to ensure a respectful, safe, and professional environment for all dancers, instructors, and staff.
Booking & Cancellation Policies
Group Class Policies

No-Show Fee: A $20 fee will be charged for no-shows.

Late Cancellation Fee: If you cancel within 1 hour of a scheduled group class, a $15 late cancellation fee will apply.

All dancers must sign a liability waiver before attending any class.
Private Lesson Policies

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel a private lesson with less than 24 hours’ notice, you are required to pay the full amount for the lesson.

Prepayment Required: Starting September 1, 2025, all private lessons must be prepaid at the time of booking. No exceptions.
Studio Booking Guidelines
Our climate-controlled studio is available to rent when regular classes are not in session. Booking hours are available by request.

Studio Etiquette & Procedures
Arrival
-
Check in with the front desk before entering class.
-
Arrive on time to avoid disrupting the instructor or fellow dancers.
-
Belongings should be placed in cubbies or neatly against the wall.
-
If entering late or re-entering mid-class, wait for a break in music or movement before stepping in.
During Class
-
Be aware of spacing. Make "windows" so all dancers can see the mirror.
-
Use all available space, especially in large classes.
-
Respect the instructor and fellow dancers by keeping talk to a minimum.
No spectators or non-participants in the studio room.
Children Policy
-
Children under 18 are not permitted in the studio, including the loft/spectator area.

Exceptions are only made if the child is registered for a youth-specific class that day.
After Class
-
Please exit the studio promptly to keep transitions between classes smooth.

Change shoes in the lobby if another class is starting.
Filming Guidelines
-
Filming is allowed only during group rounds at the end of class.

Wait for the second round to start recording.
-
Set up phones quickly and discreetly. Do not block mirrors.

If you prefer not to appear in STUDIO ONE’s behind-the-scenes footage, notify the front desk at check-in.

Tag the choreographer when posting to social media.
Choreography Use Policy

Choreography learned in class is for personal use only.
You may share class videos on social media with credit to the choreographer. -
Prohibited without written permission:

Reteaching choreography

Using choreography for auditions or performances

Working on the choreography in lessons with other instructors

Smoking, Alcohol & Substances

No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed anywhere on STUDIO ONE premises.

No outside alcohol permitted. Alcohol may only be served by STUDIO ONE at designated events.

Arriving intoxicated will result in immediate removal from the premises.
Anti-Bullying & Harassment Policy
STUDIO ONE maintains a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind. This includes but is not limited to:

Verbal abuse or derogatory remarks
-
Physical intimidation or unwanted contact
-
Inappropriate or discriminatory comments (in person or online)
All individuals regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or background deserve respect and inclusion. Violations will result in removal from the studio and potential permanent ban.
Common Area Courtesy

Keep noise to a minimum in shared building spaces.

Do not dance, loiter, or leave trash in hallways or common areas.

STUDIO ONE – Cancellation Policy
We understand that life happens and plans can change, but we ask that all clients respect our cancellation policies to help keep classes and private sessions running smoothly for everyone.
Please read the policies below carefully. By registering for any STUDIO ONE class, event, or session, you agree to the terms below.
General Policy
-
No refunds will be issued for any group class, special event, or drop-in purchase unless STUDIO ONE cancels the class or event through MindBody (or the current scheduling platform).

All cancellations must be made directly through MindBody. Cancellations via email, text, call, voicemail, or social media will not be accepted and will result in a forfeited class.

Single class passes and credits expire 1 month from the date of purchase.
-
Class passes are non-transferable and can only be used by the original purchaser.
Regular Classes (Priced at $28 or less)
Early Cancellation (8+ hours before class)
-
If you cancel at least 1 hours before class, your credit will be returned and can be applied toward another class of equal value within 1 month of the original purchase date.
-
If you booked using an intro offer, the credit will remain active within the original 1-month offer window.
Late Cancellation (Within 1 hour of class start time)

If you cancel within 1 hour of the scheduled class time, you will be charged a $15 late cancellation fee, and the class credit will be forfeited.
No-Show

If you fail to show up and do not cancel your class, a $20 no-show fee will be charged, and the session will be forfeited.
Master Classes & Special Events
Early Cancellation (24+ hours before start time)

Cancel at least 24 hours before the event to receive a credit toward another event or class of equal value, valid for 1 month from the original purchase date.

If no event of equal value is available within the expiration window, you may request a refund at least 24 hours prior to the class start time.
Late Cancellation (Within 24 hours) or No-Show

If you cancel less than 24 hours before class start or fail to attend, your credit will be forfeited and no refund or credit will be issued.
Private Lessons
Cancellation Policy

Private lessons must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged in full.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be charged the full session fee.
Prepayment Requirement

Starting September 1, 2025, all private lessons must be prepaid in full at the time of booking. No exceptions.
Private Studio Rentals
(Excludes Private Lessons with STUDIO ONE Instructors)

Cancel at least 7 days in advance for a full refund.
-
Cancel at least 24 hours in advance to receive studio credit (valid for 2 months from original booking date).

Cancellations within 24 hours of the reservation time will result in no refund or credit.

Additional Terms

Unlimited membership holders will be charged a $5 late cancellation or no-show fee per instance.

All credits must be used within 1 month of purchase, including those received for early cancellations.
